A new HPS is put into operation in the Ust-Bolsheretskiy region of Kamchatka

Public corporation KamGEK completed the construction of HPS-2 on the Tolmachev river. On Wednesday, HPS will put into operation, as told Sergey Tulayev, the Deputy Prime Minister of Kamchatka region.

Public corporation "KamGEK" was established in 1995 for the construction of power facilities, using local energy resources of Kamchatka. Public corporation "KamGEK" is realized the project of construction  of the Cascade HPS on the Tolmachev  river, which includes construction of three small hydropower stations with total installed capacity of 45.2 MW, including HPS-1, the installed capacity of 2 MW, HPS-2 - 24,8 MW ,HPS-3 - 18.4 MW.
In 1999 was commissioned in HPS-1, 2001 - HPS-3. Earnings and free cash generated from sales of electricity produced by the Cascade HPS, decided by a majority of the founders of the company focused on construction of HPS-2.
