Specifically, the issues related to rational use of water and energy resources in Central Asia were addressed. It was underlined that construction of hydraulic structures on the region’s transboundary rivers needs to be subjected to consent of riparian states and independent international expertise.
The parties also discussed the general situation in the region. In this context, the importance of cooperation for strengthening stability and security was stressed.
