The fourth edition of the Report of the UN World Water Development provides a complete overview of world's freshwater resources, and shows, among other factors, that water is the foundation of all aspects of development and co-ordinated approach to the management and distribution of water is crucial. The report stresses that in order to achieve these goals the water should be an integral part in decision-making on development issues.
