The paper analyzes the current situation of water distribution in the lower level of irrigation systems (IS) in the submountain zone of the Kyrgyz Republic. The existing methods of water distribution are analyzed and ways for improvement of distribution in the IS lower level are proposed. Based on theoretical and experimental research, technological plans of water distribution through direct diversion of water for the IS lower level with storage capacities were proposed.
