The results of land reform having been launched in the Republic of Kazakhstan since 1991 are discussed in the article. The results of the country’s farm land fund inspection are submitted. It is shown that as result of farm lands inventory in the Aktyubinsk region, there were revealed 54.4% of practically nonirrigated lands. One of the reasons of this situation is the extremely low technical level of the existing irrigation system. It is ascertained that the problems of recovery and further development of reliable irrigation systems are to be solved at the government level.
