The maps of winter precipitation for 1968-1987 were constructed using the estimation procedure of annual accumulated solid precipitation from ascent velocity. The correlation analysis demonstrates that a snowmelt runoff layer depends on the accumulated solid precipitation. However, for consistent assessment of runoff volume at a flood time, the data on liquid precipitation at the flood fall are required.
