There are given results of the analysis and assessment of the changeability of water balance elements for periods of spring flood and low water on four private water catchments of the Upper Volga basin. There is considered the dynamics of spatio-temporal changeability of the river flow and such determinative its climatic factors as atmospheric precipitation, total evaporation and changing of basin moisture stocks. For the period of low water and a year increasing of the river flow is typical by 56 mm / 96 years and 30 mm / 96 years correspondingly, the flow of spring flood decreases by 28 mm / 96 years. When assessing the significance of the linear trend of seasonal elements of water balance according to the method of I. I. Polyak and correlation coefficient R it is established that major series are constant. The obtained regularities of variability and degree of interconnections of seasonal elements of the water balance of the Upper Volga basin allow assessing the flow in the years of different water content according to seasonal values of atmospheric precipitation and evaporation.
