Tasks set before the Institute

Expansion of irrigated areas through diversion of water from rivers and other sources and construction of new main, inter- and on-farm distribution canals while developing new land and intensifying irrigation have led to groundwater rise and soil salinization. This called for search of new ways to solve those issues by constructing drainage systems and implementing respective agronomic measures.
