March 24, 2011, pursuant to orders of the President of Ukraine Yanukovich V. F. based on a working visit to Russia 26 November 2010, at Seversk-Donets basin management of water resources was conducted XIII Meeting of the Coordinating Council for updating the Inter-Regional Environmental Program for the protection and use of waters of the basin of the Seversky Donets River, which was presented for consideration by the Ukrainian part of the update program .














After discussing the draft of the updated Program by all meeting participants, including experts on environmental issues, had been made some changes and decided to approve the draft program of activities on the Ukrainian part of the Seversky Donets River basin. By the end of Q1 2011 draft will be sent to the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources of Ukraine, after agreeing to the State Administration Kharkiv, Donetsk and Lugansk regions of measures included in the program.
