Given book is meant to give scientific grounds, methodologies, software and applications of the automated linear modeling of smoothly varying movement of water and contaminants in the systems of natural and artificial watercourses.
It describes theory and technology of automatic development of the following linear mathematical models: system of natural and artificial watercourses, including flood-plains; processes of steady and non-steady smoothly varying movement of water and contaminants in the watercourse systems. The technology is realized in a set of software programs, which speeds up and simplifies modeling and makes it cheaper.
Examples of modeling are given, accuracy of determination of model parameters and process characteristics is assessed, and current and future applications of automatic modeling methods and means are discussed.
The book is designed for those who work at research, design, and production organizations in the fields of hydrology, hydraulic engineering, water sector, agriculture, fishery, recreation, etc.
