Edited by N.G.Rybalskiy and A.D.Dumnov – M.: NIA-Priroda, 2012. – 268 pp.

Given statistical book is the sixth edition prepared by NIA-Priroda on request of the Federal Water Resources Agency. The earlier publications were issued in 2006-2011. This statistical book updates the data on water use and protection, refines and gives more accurate assessment of indicators of water-management activity in Russia as a whole, for constituent entities of the Russian Federation, river basins and seas, by economic sector, etc. Besides, it provides updates of a number of indicators reflecting the costs and financing of the Federal Water Resources Agency, other ministries and departments, as well as the results of water management/protection work in physical terms. The information about receipt of water tax and charges for contract-based water use is detailed. As earlier, comparison with international statistics on water use and protection and macroeconomic assessments of water intensity, are provided. Relevant characteristics of sanitary conditions of water bodies and water supply systems are included in the book as well. The data are presented over time, for individual years and periods, for which reliable data are available. In many cases, the data are provided for 2009-2010 and/or previous years because of lack of official data for later periods.
The statistical book is designed for professionals of the water, environmental, and other socio-economic sectors. This book can be useful for men in administrative management, enterprises, research and community-based organizations, educational institutions, etc.
