The paper summarizes the results of expert work meetings in the form of roundtables that were held in the Ulan-Ude city on 13 September 2012, 29-30 January 2013, and 19 April 2013. The representatives of non-governmental environmental organizations, hydropower companies, government agencies, and expert community (hydrologists, hydrobiologists, ornithologists, geomorphologists, HPP designers and others) took part in those meetings.
