The article deals with the problem of rational use of water resources in Kyrgyzstan is the main consumer of irrigated agriculture, then industry, water settlements, public utilities, livestock and engineering. In the future, while maintaining the modern principles of water resources, the volume of wastewater can be increased several times. The quality of water deteriorates, even if all the waste water will be cleaned, so as to completely removing them would require the amount of clean water, two times higher than all the resources of river runoff in Kyrgyzstan.
Therefore, a necessary condition for solving this problem is to achieve a stable political and socio-economic situation in the region, one of the indicators which would be the conclusion of interstate basin agreement on major rivers.
