The problem of cooperated using and saving of water resources of the transboundary Selenga river, which is the main inflow of Baikal lake and forms the flow on territory of Mongolia and Russia, are considered. The general principles and hydrological bases of cooperated ecologically safe use of water resources of the Selenga river are offered.
