Today , the regional competition of students' research projects on water resources protection and renewal is being hold in Tyumen. Their projects are presented by high school students from the Yarkovskiy, Golyshmanovskiy, Omutinskiy, Yurginskiy, Surgutskiy region, Tyumen and Khanty-Mansiysk cities.
The contest is held to organize and conduct an independent public art contest among high school students for the best project for the protection and restoration of water resources, encouraging the activities of students, to address the problems of drinking water, purification of polluted runoff, conservation of aquatic biodiversity in urban and rural water, study the correlation of water social, climatic and other factors.
Schoolchildren were given a choice of a wide range of topics - the protection and conservation of water resources, water resources management, while research should be focused on the improvement of habitat and ecosystems.
According to the results of the regional stage, the participant who takes a prize, will depart for the Russian National Competition. On the region at the national competition is only one project  the winner of the regional stage. Tyumen region is a participant of the competition since 2006. In 2007, members of the Tyumen region took 2nd place (among 49 finalists) and received a Presidential Award in 2008, member of the Tyumen region took 4th place among 62 finalists, "- noted the chairman of the regional public Movement , Svetlana Maximova.
She added that Russia's national contest of water projects high school students included in the list of competitions and other competitive activities on the basis of which awards to support the talented youth of the Ministry of Education and Science within the priority national project "Education".
Recall protection projects of the competition of research and application projects of high school students on the theme of protection and restoration of water resources is based on cultural and recreational center "Health". Competition is organized by the Tyumen regional public youth movement "Chechen-Ingush Republic."
