The reading book is aimed to systematize approaches and visions of the Russian researchers on the main directions of international cooperation in the Arctic. This publication is designed to the professional international relations community, students studying international processes, lecturers, as well as to those involved in development and implementation of decisions related to foreign policy and international cooperation.   

Volume 1 deals with the Russia’s interests in the Arctic, provides assessment of existing international partnership institutions in this region, analyzes the main points of Arctic strategies of foreign countries, and addresses the issues of regional security and strategic stability. 






Volume 2 addresses prospects of Arctic international cooperation in transport, natural resource development, environmental protection, and research. 






A separate volume includes the documents that form the normative-legal framework of Russian activity in the region and the base of its relationships with the Arctic partners. The translated versions of Arctic strategies of all member states in the Arctic Council are provided for the first time.
